Statement of Purpose
The general purposes of the Section are to further the objectives of the Delaware State Bar Association (the “DSBA”), further the interests of attorneys, judges and members of the global community, foster communication and understanding among groups within both the legal and greater community, encourage the international public service rendered by its Members and promote the professional development and international interests of its Members.

On Friday April 28, the DSBA International Section is holding, in collaboration with the FBA Civil Rights Section, a?free?CLE on Understanding Asylum Law and Procedure.? It is from 9:30 am -11:30 am at the offices of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, 1000 N King Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

The program is designed to help get those people that don’t necessarily have any immigration law experience the tools and knowledge they need to begin taking pro bono asylum representations.? For those who have practiced in this area of law before, it also presents an opportunity to refresh your knowledge with the help of a real pro.
Ayodele Gansallo, Esq., LLM, from?HIAS PA?is our presenter.? Having initially qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales, Ms. Gansallo has been working on immigration and nationality issues exclusively with non-profit organizations both here and in the U.K. for over twenty years. She is currently a senior attorney with HIAS PA. Ms. Gansallo joined the organization in 1998 following completion of her LLM at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and now focuses her practice on complex litigation before the U.S. Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
